BIOGRAPHY

Evi Yang was born in Indonesia to Chinesse and Indonesian parents. She was blessed with her natural talent to sing and dance. She got noticed through her “angelic voice” at a young age and started performing at TVRI (Television Republic of Indonesia) when she was 5 years old. After graduating school with a degree in tourism, she joined “Julius Sitanggang & Brothers” band on tour in Indonesia. She later continued performing in venues throughout Indonesia with her own band “One Vision.”

Evi immigrated to USA and continued to develop her singing as well as modeling and dancing. She was once selected to be the ring girl at the Georgia Boxing Tournament held in Atlanta and Queen of Kebaya (Indonesian Traditional Outfit) Pageant in New Orleans. Now she is active with her dance team Sanggar Lestari in preserving traditional Indonesian dance. Evi’s voice was discovered and adored by Asian Pacific American community in Georgia and led her to nationwide performances in various stages, shows, concerts, wedding banquets, corporate events, festivals, etc. She has performed in some of the top venues including Rialto Center of Arts and Southern Exchange Ballroom in Atlanta; Chevy Chase Woman’s Club and Rockville Town Center in Maryland; Indonesian Ambassador’s Private Mansion and Walsh Mclean Mansion (Indonesian Embassy) in Washington DC; and California Education and Performing Arts Center in Los Angeles.

Now based in Atlanta, Evi performs bi-weekly on Thursday evenings at Ten Sushi Lounge in Woodstock, GA. Evi performs regularly and continues to evolve as an artist and believes to share the art of life, beauty, and love.
